Wow, quite impressive story. My Dad had worked at Mare Island USNavy in Cali for a period during WWII, and spoke of a damaged Destroyer coming in with a hole in the bow through to the Stern, I was awestruck then as a kid but, just impressed.

I had purchased a Mil Spec1911 .45 in '19, and have to say that compared to my SW 1911 that it is a great shooter. My experience with it has been great. All of the added features larger ejection port, larger iron sites, and parkerized coating are all great in my opinion.
