I would have to prove the aftermarket mag's reliability before I stowed it in a vehicle or carried it on me as a backup. I've had mixed luck with aftermarket mags for essentially any platform I can think of. If there are factory extended mags available, i'm buying those before anything else.

I put these tru-glo sights on my xd-s a few years back and they have been holding up well. They are a tritium/fiber hybrid. A little long overall but are very visible day or night.

I prefer the striker variety. Have yet to find a trigger that feels as nice as a good 1911. There seems to be give and take with both options.
