It’s still getting replaced. I went ahead and ordered one from EGW though. I also grabbed a black aluminum magwell and extra extractor as well. I can see how this tinkering around can get a bit out of control lol.

Springfield Armory viewed the photos and described it as a “knit”. Basically a blemish that’s common in MIM parts and is 100% ok.

Thanks for all the replies. I haven’t contacted anyone regarding this yet as I just noticed it after a range trip yesterday. I do not mind the idea of having to fit a part if needed. I will make some calls tomorrow. It’s probably a non issue but now that I see it, I can’t unsee it lol.

Maybe someone here can point me in the right direction. While cleaning my Prodigy yesterday I noticed my f.p.s. has a crack. Could have possibly been there since new. I’m sure Springfield will replace it no questions asked. But what if I want an aftermarket machine one. It appears the ones EGW...
