    Range Report: Quick 100 Rounds w/Ronin, 4/1/25

Most excellent, once again!! And watching what seems like your non stop 1911 range trips, I’m thinking my Emissary must be feeling mighty neglected!

SigP320 Safety Problems Continue – Resulting In Bans from Police Training Ranges!

i think we’re (maybe just me) missing communication connections. Why is only Sig the one fighting “multiple” lawsuits concerning the P320 when many other manufacturers make similar weapons, even Sig with their non P320 strikers, and those guns aren’t getting involved in as many (if any) such...

SigP320 Safety Problems Continue – Resulting In Bans from Police Training Ranges!

I’m not sure how Sig would be an easier target than any other manufacturer of striker fired weapons (minus the reports of uncommanded discharges). I also doubt all these reports are being made by people who know each other and conspired to get Sig. I concur 100% with … Lawyers. Though I’m...

SigP320 Safety Problems Continue – Resulting In Bans from Police Training Ranges!

I’m not sure I’ve ever weighed into the P320 debate on this board (as I have at SigTalk and GlockTalk), but my position is this. 1. The P320 is (and has been) getting an unusual number of uncommanded discharge reports compared to other gun manufacturers (and even other Sig models). If it’s...

    Pet Med Reminder

Year round for me too (Texas). Just stuffed their Bravecto’s down their throats this morning (1st day of each quarter). Tasty chewable … yeah right 😆. Always have to break in 1/4s then four pokes down the throat…each!

Lab4Us and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Range Day

The ejector rod had worked itself loose and would not allow cylinder to open. Shrouded so I can’t get my finger(s) in there to tighten it while cylinder closed. On the front of the 432, just under the barrel, the little spring piece that moves forward when using the cylinder release sticks out...

Lab4Us and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Range Day

Paper targets + wadcutters = what looks like keyholing. Sellier & Bennot .32 SW Long. Had several light strikes from it as well. All of it gone now, won’t be buying more.

Lab4Us and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Range Day

Wasn’t the shooting that made it a bad day, it was that I didn’t get enough range time with the SW 432 once the cylinder locked up. Was able to have LGS/Range armorer get it undone for me, then show me how I can fix it next time with pliers…which are already in my bag 😆.

Lab4Us and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Range Day

Spoiler Alert - SAVED at the end! Today’s goal was to catch up rounds fired in my not fired yet SW 432 Ti .32 HR Magnum to my Ruger LCR .32 HR Magnum. Out of 303 various rounds total, the idea was 49 total out of the LCR and all the rest out of the SW…ahhhh, the best laid plans…and all that...

    Struggling with dots

When I get a new optic, I zero it at 7yds (kind of dictated by my local range, indoor, with 15 yd max lines). I have found the zero at 7 yds works very well at 3yds and 15 yds (the other two “marked distances”), and even 5 yds and 10 yds, which I have to estimate between the three marked...

    Glock day today

I would counter with, in my range training, I prefer to get my rounds down range as “efficiently and quickly” as reasonably possible WHILE keeping them grouped very well, or to the best of my ability. I much prefer my quickest shots all hit within the 8 ring or better (and some still don’t) and...

    Review: Optics-Ready TRP AOS .45 and 9mm 1911 Pistols

I already have my Wilson EDCx9 (first edition) and Wilson Super Sentinel 😀. I just always liked the history of Springfield’s TRP. If I didn’t already have the AOS Emissary, I’d grab one of the AOS TRP models as soon as I could (given a reasonable price). Those upgrade items (if included) you...

    Review: Optics-Ready TRP AOS .45 and 9mm 1911 Pistols

I’d thought for sure I’d want a TRP once they went to an AOS option. Having just picked up an Emissary last fall, I don’t see the TRP happening. All I really see is the TRP is about 14 oz lighter (but Emissary frame is stainless steel, so great for .45), plus I think the Emissary has a bit...
