I like to reload, for me it is part of the shooting process, shoot, clean reload repeat. I shoot 38sp/357 mag. , 9mm, 45acp, 45colt, 44sp and 44mag, 40 cal 5.56, 308, 7.62x39. It's the most fun you can have with your clothes on.
I enjoy shooting my Henry 38spl/357 with some mid ranch loads. But the 44spl /44 mag is fun but the mag with 240g hard cast bullets and a starting load of hp-38 will let you know it's a big bore.
All I have are Henry's 22lr, 357/38, 44spl/44mag, and a 45 colt, I really like lever action guns, goes back to my youth watching all the cowboy TV shows and movies. They are fun to shoot.
I do open carry, but it's normally because I have to stop what I am doing and go get part or things my wants. My state is and open carry state, I do have my CPL. I have noticed that when I am open carrying no one seems to notice, except other gun owners, they will nod their head or give a thumbs...
I have about 1000 rounds loaded and stored in ammo boxes and I have 2500-3000 110g bt bullets on the shelf with about 2200 brass cases from Winchester. and plenty of powder. For rifle shooting I am using my lever action pistol calibers. Get close to my reserve primers. have plenty of 5.56 rounds...
I got to the range today, put a hundred round threw the EMP, had the same issues as every one is reporting toward the end there didn't seem to be as many faults. I used my reloads the bullet was a tampered flat point. I will run a couple hundred more rounds see if improves. If not I'll send it...
I own 5 9mm 1911, the one that is the most picky is the colt defender, The chamber only takes a perfectly size bullet and case, to long won't feed right, to short won.t eject. My reloads not work well in it. it will only fire Hornaday 124 grain XPT.
I have a 1911 compact in 45 ACP. It fires all the ammo I have fired, About every six months I shoot up my carry ammo and get fresh. As the compact is mostly my everyday carry I want to make sure it feeds and ejects every time. I use the factory mags and have added a couple of Kimber 7 rounds...
I purchased a EMP 4 bi-tone today, I was driving through a town in the next county and saw a True Value Hardware. So I stopped and saw the gun counter. they had several Springfield hand guns, I saw the EMP and walked out with it; and it was on sale, less then $900. I am taking it to the range...
I have my reloading press on a small bench, that helps me keep thinks organized. Yhe only thing on the bench are the powder I am using the primer box the brass, and bullets my calipers, the box to collect the reloads and my recipe. the scales on a table next to the bench. I think keeping only...
My dog is a golden retriever, she loves everyone, she would be the dog that would show the bad guy where all the good stuff was then sit and beg for a treat.
I went into Cabela's today after my doctors visit the ammo was scars a few boxes of 357, 45 colt 44 mag. there were a few boxes of 5.56 ammo. Shelf after shelf of shot gun shells. I was looking for pistol primers. No 1000 primer boxes, they had a few box of 100 taped together. I was able to get...
I seen to stick to guns that have the same manual of arms, like SW 686, same grip, same trigger reach, 1911s ditto and I like the heft of the guns. Most SA pistols are about the same, just a plastic gun type of guy.
I read the manual on a new gun. I have a Springfield 1911 compact. I had just come back from the range and took it apart to clean it. I put it back together wrong, I couldn't get it back apart. Had to do with the double recoil spring and guide rod. so I called customer service they were kind...
I grew up in the country on a working farm, there were hunting rifles and shot guns, one pistol kept in the barn. Grandpa and dad hunted, but about 100 miles north of the farm. The would hunt deer, in the early fall they would take time to hunt birds. My first gun was a Daisey pump action BB...
I was at the range yesterday, I took my Ruger 10-22 that I had installed a scope on that had been given to me. ten shots and I was sighted in. the other rifle a mini 14 was another story. I had installed a new gas vent and was having a fit getting it adjusted. I need to go back and finish the...
I use 231 or AA#5 both provide enough energy to get the job done. I don't hot rod my guns or loads I stay within the suggested loads. When I buy a new batch of bullets or powder I recheck the data and start load development again.
