Put the slide back on and read my detailed response earlier in the thread. The pistol works with the slide on, when you manually push things without the slide to cycle it don’t work the same. If it does not reset fully assembled then you have a problem.

As others have said, rack the slide and practice dry firing, just for giggle I would take the factory spring with you on the next range trip. Try it first and see if the problem continues, if it works then switch the springs and see if it continues to work. But dry fire practice really does help...

Only way to add capacity is a longer mag tube, plus the barrel with the lug in the proper place for the longer tube. Replace both your current tube and barrel. Easier to use shorty shells.

I don't think so because of how the barrel lug screws into the end of the mag tube. Where a remington the tube basically goes through the lug and can easily add an extension if stops are not in place.
