i have both the M-1 Garand and the M1A in the Scout Squad configuration. i find that both are excellent shooters.

The Scout Squad is the weapon I purchased, but I opted for the synthetic stock rather than the wood. Your article was dead on about accuracy. Whether you use the open sights or an optic. Because of my older eyes the optic is a big help.
