Lessons Learned: Facing Down a Carjacking

There is a hospital here in Michigan I occasionally have to visit as the specialist I see works out of there. The first time I went down there because you can't carry, I left my sidearm home. After driving down the side street and seeing several cars with bullet holes, one with no hood, and one...

First Look: Echelon 4.0C in Desert FDE and OD Green

I have the original Echelon in O.D. green and really like everything about the firearm. Of course, the things go with Springfield Armory, my guess is additions are already in the works for the Echelon series.

Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II — Gun with a Plane Around It

While I was in the Guard our Huey's trained with A-10's as a joint exercise. They would fly with us for a short time then shoot off ahead and prep the LZ for our blue teams in the Huey's. Once we made the insertion, they would loiter overhead, for a short time. Later we would go to the PZ and...

Springfield Armory M1A Scout Squad Review

The Scout Squad is the weapon I purchased, but I opted for the synthetic stock rather than the wood. Your article was dead on about accuracy. Whether you use the open sights or an optic. Because of my older eyes the optic is a big help.

Ma Deuce — The M2 .50-Caliber Machine Gun

I had the rare opportunity to live fire Ma from a tank one time, at night. That was freaking awesome. The tracer rounds look like softballs going downrange.

True Precision Accessories for Hellcat Pro

I went out to their site and looked, and they have quite the selection of barrels. I liked the rainbow barrel color. The color changes are pretty awesome, and I could imagine them in sunlight. And no I am not one of those type of gentlemen.

Avoid Being a Target — Is Your Pistol Truly Concealed?

I just received a Galco holster for my Echelon, OWB. I am going to give this a try. My problem is with my back and the fact that I don't have an ass, but I certainly have a belly. Which is the reason most of the time I wear a shoulder rig.

Thanks for the great article, Dr. Dabbs. As a former 17-year veteran myself (67-N2F) Huey's were my thing, Spent many months at Ft. Rucker myself. All my pilots were Vietnam era and demanded we know how to fly, from our Major on down. I am pretty sure I have at least 450hrs of stick time in the...
