A century and a half has, (in 2016), come and gone since Oliver F. Winchester introduced his now legendary brand to the world in 1866.

Though most folks tend to use their primers strictly for reloading purposes, the little buggers have found other uses over the years. In 1981, NASA selected the Winchester 209 shotshell primers to initiate the separation and parachute recovery systems on the solid rocket booster engines of our nation’s space shuttles.

I believe it was Winchester brass but 40mm grenades for the M203 grenade launcher has a 38 special with primer that ignites it.
It isn’t head stamped but here is a pic off a training round!

If I were to guess, I’ve probably run more WWB handgun ammo in various calibers than any other brand.

Some people like to badmouth it, but in tens of thousands of rounds, I have never experienced more issues with it than any other blaster-grade ammo.

I have shot a ton of, and still have a ton of WWB. Never had any of the issues others seem to experience.

One of my favorite 9mm target loads is Winchester 124 NATO. At 1,200 FOS it has similar recoil and POS/POI as my 124 HST and 135 Critical Duty

And has no issues with pepper poppers

As far as issues there isn’t a company that doesn’t have a fewQC issues. Especially the major ones that do billions or rounds a year.

People should not take it personal!
