Good article Mike. I have several M1As including this one. Now all I need is the scope mount, scope and Bi-pod, and I'll be set. I use the same on one of mine.
I use ARMS QD rings on either an ARMS mount or a Sadlak mount. I want to be able to pop off the scope quick if needing to go to the irons.

Nice looking, I like to get a black synthetic stock and black upper forearm piece to keep the stock from getting marked up or scratched. I’m also partial to the black gun look.

I went with the Sadlak mount and a Vortex QD mount. Took off the Vortex 1x6 for something that could reach out there further.
I like QD mounts if I want to mount a Thermal for night time hogs.
I get guns muddy, so I like synthetic

Good shooting, if you're getting sub MOA groups, thats awesome! I'm a former High Power competitor, still compete in non sanctioned NRA/CMP club matches. This rifle in the picture is an LRB M14, rifle sits in a re-enforced USGI synthetic stock, I almost always shoot with a sling, rarely use a rest of any sort. I've found that for accuracy, 100 yards is good to practice on reduced targets. A six inch aiming black is good to practice, will be the same sight picture as the full sized black at 600 yards.
