I thought that the German Panzerfaust was considered the best anti tank weapon And it was recoilless. Im 65 now and I have never figured out who was the bravest .The guys in submarines that underwent depth charges or the soldiers in British tanks called tommie cookers.

Great story! Hard to believe the soldiers came in via glider! And landed exactly where they were supposed to be! Amazing.

Fascinating!!! We are so lucky to have these fine soldiers and veterans!
As a side note, my Dad flew the Waco Glider. The first to land had to light a kerosene lantern and wave in the next glider, then repeat. Sometimes the lantern man was mowed down by a glider and the remaining gliders would pile in on top of each other.
