What about some sort of high rise mount where the sights are under it? Kinda like a scope on a rifle with irons under it.The short answer is no on the OPs questions.
Isn't there a short rail ahead of the rear sight on the 1301's like the Benelli's? If not is the 1301 drilled & tapped for a rail?
But, the long answer Ialso use the Romeo 5 and I prefer QD mounts so I get the lowest ADM QD mount & replace the Romeo 5 base.
It keeps it low enough that with a shotgun it's closer to co-witness but being a short-range shotgun I don't think it not being co-witness is a big deal.
My .02
You can look for a skeletonized mount for your Romeo so you could see under the sight. Optics Planet has tons of mounts available on their site that may be worth checking out. What about some sort of high rise mount where the sights are under it? Kinda like a scope on a rifle with irons under it.
There is a short rail in front of the rear sight. With the Aridus CROM, you remove the rail and install the CROM in it's place. You also remove the rear sight as the Crom has a built in ghost ring sight on the back of it. It's easy enough to do and looking at options for mounts it's in the same ballpark price wise. The short answer is no on the OPs questions.

Yeah, that's probably eventually where I'm headed. Although I'm really liking the Holosun 510C with the low QD mount on it. I already have the extra Romeo 5, but I think I'll run with the stock Ghost Ring sights for awhile until I make up my mind.I found this. https://www.aridusindustries.com/products/beretta-1301-tactical-aimpoint-micro-crom/
Man, it's gotta be tight to cowitness.
Using that mount, someone mounted a romeo4T . It looks to be a solid foundation.
I see thats what you're looking at as i reread your posts
I got the brand new one. WIth the 7 round tube and enhanced/enlarged bolt release, safety and charging handle.I think once you shoulder it, you'll forget about everything but a mag extension. It's as close to perfect as it gets.IMHO
Possibly. Thanks.Do not know much about optics, always even an iron sight guy. But is a see thru mount maybe what you want?
They’re out there. They sellWhat I wanna know is, how you gettin a 7 round mag? Mines about 3 months old. Made in Italy and comes with 5 round tube. I can't even find a solid replacement tube, only those cheesy extensions. I'm so jealous
Very nice. You could have the tube extension cerakoted. I believe @xdman can do it.I got mine in green. This is the day i picked it up. I'll never get the extension to match, but whatev's. Ima get me one of those GG&G or Nordiccomp extendo doo-dads one of these days. I got stubby arms so that short stock really is the bomb for me. As far as guts, believe it or not, almost identical to my mossy 930.
