Hello all, here is today's article posted on TheArmoryLife.com. It is titled “Can a .308 with a Red Dot Hit at 500 Yards?” and can be found at https://www.thearmorylife.com/can-a-308-with-a-red-dot-hit-at-500-yards/.
Not easy to do these days, but associating Springfield Armory with products manufactured in China, when there are other quality options, just doesn't seem like a good strategy (Athlon Red Dot).
Aim point and Eotech ?Hate to break it to you, but pretty much ALL red dots are either assembled in China, or are made with parts from China.
Possibly not?Aim point and Eotech ?
Heck, Lockheed Martin found Chinese parts in the F35 production.Hate to break it to you, but pretty much ALL red dots are either assembled in China, or are made with parts from China.
Me either. I gotta say I like my Holosuns better than the Eotechs. I was at the LGS buying a Wilson stripped lower a few days ago and the guy behind the counter, who is a combat vet, said he ran the Eotech overseas and never had any issues, but when he bought one for an AR back home after about 50 rounds his reticle started bouncing around. He put a Holosun on it. I made the comment that for civilian use I will take the Holosun over the Eotech. He said even if he was overseas in combat he’d take the Holosun.Possibly not?
Then again, it wouldn’t surprise me if some parts in this MFG’s were Chinese.
I'd bet a bundle it was a "knock-off", not an original.Me either. I gotta say I like my Holosuns better than the Eotechs. I have Romeo 5s too. Made by Holosun. And I have not been nice to them. They’re all in perfect working order.
Am I thrilled about them being Chinese ? No. But you can’t argue with results.
I don’t know. Lots of people having problems with them these days. And the guy works at a gun store so I’m guessing they order their stuff from legit suppliers.I'd bet a bundle it was a "knock-off", not an original.
Don't forget the magnifier!
As would most thingsIf required…
Most mfgs have pic rail adaptability. No need for rings (scope mounts). What type of scope mount was used for the holsun or other red dot sights such as vortex?
