15 things you should never say to a legal gun owner!

thanks for posting. i have gotten some of these questions in the past from non-gun/anti-2a people in my life. i must say that the looks on their faces is priceless when i suggest maybe they should just "give up" their voting rights or when i explain to them in detail the hoops (and expense) i have to jump through to get a handgun. the best one of them all is, "have you ever shot a gun? if not, maybe you should come along with me some time. i'm pretty sure you'll have a good time." not one person has taken me up on the offer.

My youngest sister ( 8 years older than me ) and her husband are die hard Democrats . They have a couple shotguns ( single shot and a semi auto ) , a couple of .22 rifles ( bolt and a lever action ) , and a couple handguns ( single action Ruger Blackhawk .357 mag. and a model 10 S&W ) .

Every time we start talking about firearms or accessories such as AR 15 , 30 round magazines , or suppressors I get " But why does anyone need those things!? " . They keep the Blackhawk at the ready in case of home invasion so when she made that statement about suppressors I told her ," If you ever fire that .357 in your small home , you will know why a person would want a suppressor! " Her husband even agreed that there hearing would be damaged badly by the .357.

I also told her it isn't about " NEEDS " but it is about " RIGHTS " . I do know I have made progress with them both but it has been a battle at times.

Hi,

Even though this article is from MSN I believe it has some merit and could be useful:

Yes, a rather unusual perspective posted by a normally left-leaning source. Bravo for them. The article addresses many of the stereotypical views held by many. People should realize that while some stereotypes may be true, they are ALWAYS incomplete and so not true in most cases.

That was a good read. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassClkiff
