Are You Forgetting These Prepper Gun Skills?

As regards reloading, a “hobby” I have pursued since the late 70s, the recent price hikes in components make it more challenging. My take is that I nay reload for obscure calibers; 32-20, .303 British, .338 or .300 Weatherby. While the last two are not really obscure, their cost is such that reloading for them is cheaper than buying factory. Opposite for 9mm, practice ammo is cheaper than I can reload so I only reload with the fancier, and pricier, bullets I want to use. Same for 5.56 and some other calibers. Yes, reloading can save you money, but you have to give some consideration to which calibers and bullets.

An awful lot of “preppers” seem to live in a Walter Mitty world…”yeah I live in a city but I’m gonna bug out with my stuff when the SHTF”. Yeah, right. You’re gonna hump all your crap to a remote location while carrying an AR and a 9 mm pistol and a bunch of ammo, to where no one else is around, find shelter, and live like Robinson Caruso🙄. Good luck with that. I strongly suggest you actually “try” that scenario ahead of time….oh yeah, and do it with only a few hours lead time.
