Son in law is retired Army, ran around with a little group called the Nightstalkers, they did just fine with Blackhawk and Chinook.Just in my unsolicited opinion (ignorance?), this airborne nightmare is a troop killer. It was/is a solution looking for a problem.
They (helicopters) do just fine within their envelope for range and speed, important considerations for any systems.
