Iron Horse thumb operated trigger is and could be an optional choice for those with a missing (or non-functioning) trigger finger? Talk about learning a new process! You might not like the design, but helping those who can't operate a standard design rifle is pretty awesome!

Next link is on their SG. Maybe not the best choice, but could be an easy upgrade and/or customizable gun? Easy takedown, cleaning and barrel swap (if you could get 1 with rifling for slugs). Some aren't going to like detachable mags, but I bet this gun runs well. OH! The possibilities!

I shot one of those thumb triggers about two years ago. wasn't that brand i don't think. definitely something you'd have to get used to.

Older Enfield (not SMLEs) rifles could be thumb fired by putting on the safety, pressing the trigger, and then disengaging the safety.

Supposedly, it promoted accuracy by preventing the trigger from being jerked.
