After Y2K I bought a new Citizen watch. I had trouble deciding which one of two I wanted. The Citizen Dolphin came in two configurations, a regular bezel and "Pepsi" blue and white bezel.

I decided on the plain bezel and getting the "Pepsi" later. Well they discontinued them and I looked for many years on and off to find the other. A few weeks ago I saw a nice example for sale and snapped it up.

Here are the two brothers. The regular in a James Bond Homage configuration, black faced diver on the same type nato strap Sean Connery wore in Dr No. And the new one in a new nato I liked on it.

Automatics, mechanical watches wound by movement of the arm as worn, stop when not moved and wound after about 30 hours. Shake it a couple times and set it, ready to wear. They make winders you can leave them on but I don't bother with them.

I have changed to Citizen watches. If there's light they're working

Yep Citizen Eco drives are nice, I do have a Seiko solar watch and they are handy. Citizen also still makes mechanicals and regular battery watches.

I prefer mechanicals because no battery to worry about. The Eco still uses a rechargeable battery.
