2020 Gun Sales Have Likely Surpassed All of 2019

Good read on firearm sales so far in 2020

Well I helped the cause in August, buying three firearms. A CZ P10C, SA Saint Victor 300BO Pistol, and a Carcano Calvery Carbine M91, that's at my LGS but has yet been "checked in" prior to them calling me, and doing my BGC when I go and pay the xfer fee (so this one could count for September). ;)

Don’t forget all them yeet cannons you and 10mm bought also......
🤣🤣🤣🤣

The wife and I stopped by the local gun store least night and saw shelf after shelf and rack after rack totally cleared off. Ammo, except for some shotgun stuff and a few .22's was non existent. Racks for long guns were probably less than 20% full, and show cases for hand guns were less than that. I'm glad to see that much interest in firearms today, I only hope they're being bought up by the right kind of folks and that if they're new to the game, will get the proper training.

With the amount of new licenses to carry firearms being applied for around where I am, I certainly can see this being true. When I took a live fire class with my son, the parking lot of the school looked like a mall at Christmas. People are waiting 4 months to get in to classes. This being a non friendly 2a state, it was very surprising but welcomed to see. My Local PD had one firearms officer. Now they have two and they can't keep up with the amount of applications. I understand that some people will never buy a firearm, but if you are going to jump through as many hoops as you have to here to become licensed, you will be buying at least one.
