There is rarely anything original anyone has to write or say about. Take films/motion pictures for example. Why are there so many re-boots of original stories?
If I want to read or watch something new, I read an author's first story and I like to watch silent movies. I realize Shakespeare probably wrote about it all first, but at least the stories are in a more up to date setting. Even a lot of the technology has been written about some time ago. It is called science-fiction. I understand the Navy is working on ray/laser guns, something that was in the old Buck Rogers/Flash Gordon movies. So when someone says there is nothing new under the sun, They may be close to being correct.
