Thanks for covering this little known incident of WW2, which illustrated the tragic flaws in communications among the Allies and the lapses in protective overwatch and surveillance during Exercise Tiger. The article especially highlighted the role of the German Schnellboot (S-boat) aka E-boat. The Channel naval warfare between this vessel and its British counterpart, the Motor Torpedo Boat, was a contrast in design theory, armament and their respective capabilities.
