There’s a new Creedmoor kid on the block, the .22 Creedmoor. While it can be used for PRS and tactical competitions, the .22 Creedmoor seems to be ideally suited as a high-velocity varmint round, but also for use for deer hunting with heavy bullet weights in areas that permit the .22 caliber for that use.

Bot there's a whole lot of bullet that is sticking up there. Sooo you cannot get "high quality" cases for 22-250? The article seemed to make a deal out of that.

The main thing about the .22 CM and .22/250 is the .22CM is set up to handle much heavier weights than the .22/250 which typically runs with 50-55 gr bullets.

Did they ever experiment with heaver bullets and faster twist rates or was that just left to the 220swift?

Factory twists for the Swift and .22/250 have been 1/12 or 1/14 unless a custom gun with a faster-twist is built. So without that being done the Swift & .22/250 have their limitations.
