Nice little article. I have a 17 HMR that I won about 10 yrs ago that I wanted to use for groundhog hunting just have got to do it yet. Put a nice scope on it and still haven't shot it yet.

I use the 22 wmr in a Ruger single six with a 9 1/2 barrel and in a Mossberg 640 Chuckster. I use the Ruger to dispatch snakes and the Mossberg for snakes and larger varmits. They both work great. I am a big fan of 22 wmr. Extremely powerful and highly accurate. You should see what the Ammo (shotshell) does to a snakes head! Killed a hog with one shot with the Mossberg. Great article. Nice. Love the 22mag and the 17hmr has a nice zip to it. I know folks around me that coyote hunt with the 17hmr.
