Apologies if this has been posted already. Assuming it’s a true story, it’s an example of a good* outcome…

( *good as in, if it was destined to happen, at least the perp suffered instead of the innocent)

Well, if stuff's going to hit the fan, that's how we'd all like it to go, I think. The homeowner prudently prepared himself against the danger, and the bad guys prudently left the premises when they saw their compadre bite the dust. Now they all understand each other and the world is a better place.

not to mention the remaining ones face felony murder charges.

life is good sometimes.

I’m interested in what those guys were there for. 6 armed robbers don’t bust into your house looking to steal your TV or the family silver in the middle of the night. They were there for something specific - large amounts of cash, drugs, gun collection. Looks like they got close up look at part of the gun collection!

Funny you mention that Simon.
I was hesitant to post that link due to having the same suspicion , plus some concerns about how it was written, i.e. not quite news-ish but intended to sound so. I read it in kind of a hurry.

It did occur to me that they might’ve had reason to think that homeowner was away for awhile, and cooked up a scheme with enough accomplices to clean the place out. Or some such.
A lot left unexplored. But whatever..

Funny enough, I thought the same thing about the linked article and the link in the article. Very light on facts. Clearly an agenda there, but the basic message is there.

I have an associate who is a SWAT officer and he says that nighttime home invasions are extremely rare and that the Perps usually know the victim and are there for something in particular. This gives me great comfort as the only thing I have a pile of is bills! They can have them!

Amen !

Yeah, reading it more slowly I’m now thinking it is a satire (?) article, not news…

The article said the average number involved with this type of crime is 5...that means plenty more happen with 6 or more. What surprised me most was that it happened in CA and no charges were brought against the home owner. I only pray that the civil suit that follows is unsuccessful as well.

If it is real....
