Here the link to Email Senator Joe Manchin:

This is what I emailed him:

Message topic: Gun ownership

Subject: Recent Cabinet Nominees and Bill introductions with regards to gun ownership

Email Text:

Greetings Senator Manchin,

Although not a constituent of your great State of West Virginia, I am writing you as a neighboring State resident of the Great State of Pennsylvania. I have become increasingly alarmed by some of the recent nominations of President Biden, as well as legislation introduced (and in some cases recently passed), by the House of Representatives in regards to gun ownership. These bills when and if passed, will then make it to you and or colleagues in the Senate, as well as Cabinet nominees still up for a vote. I know in the past you have been a supporter of the Second Amendment and have also Co-sponsored a Common Sense Gun bill with my Pa. Senator Toomey (which in all honesty I don’t support). My main purpose of this email isn't necessarily to try to persuade you on your vote for any Cabinet nominee or Gun legislation, but to rather implore you to please hold firm with your belief to uphold the Senate Filibuster. I am a 65 year old proud American Citizen and was deeply impressed during one of my High School classes when we were shown several of President Kennedy's "Profiles in Courage" in the form of video documentaries. One that stood out and impressed me dearly was the one about the U.S. Senator that stood up as the lone deciding vote on the impeachment of President Andrew Johnson. In fact, I'm sure you heard this recounted recently, when then Vice President Pence detailed Sen. Edmund Ross, a Republican who voted against impeaching President Andrew Johnson in 1868, during the opening of President Trump’s second impeachment trial. With this in mind, I'm respectfully requesting that you be that "Senator" in courage no matter how much pressure your party's colleagues pressure you (and I'm sure there will be immense pressure), to vote to eliminate the filibuster. Please stand up with your principles and refuse to do so. You will have the gratitude of this fellow American and I'm sure the vast support of like-minded American citizens as well.

Sincerely with best regards,
