3 day weekend gone but not forgotten.

Well it was an interesting weekend. After grocery shopping in the quad cities, I stopped at the gun shop/range in Geneseo Illinois to try out the range there. It’s different than what I’m used too. 10 dollars for a half hour. Had to break in the M&P9 some how.

Saturday I ended up in Marengo Illinois at D5 range setting up a membership. I used to drive by it all the time when I lived up that way. I used my SA HCP to warm up. Then broke in my M&P some more. I also brought my Taurus public defender to try out some .410 slugs.

Today was a chill day but also heard about the tornado in geneseo.
 
WHICH M/P 9 DO YOU HAVE? probably should've checked the cap locks cause the cats walk on the kb. i have a mod1 core w/ported barrel of the 4.25" variety. also bought a complete 5" slide version of the 4.25". the slide cost almost as much as the complete handgun (should've bought both full guns). with +p ammo it shoots very easy and controllable. hardly any muzzle jump/rise. with standard ammo it shoots even softer. it does throw a decent flame tho.

Hi J, I drive by the D5 3 times/week. Unfortunately I cannot use the range, as I'm from WI and it is illegal for me to bring my firearms across the state line (all of my pistols except 1 are illegal in IL). Used to buy accessories at D5 every now and again though. D5 used to have a great selection of firearms until the AR15 became illegal for the general public....

I have the M&P9 M2.0 compact 4.0” version and in 10MM.

Honestly it’s not illegal to bring with to the range especially if you’re from Wisconsin. As long as you don’t plan on selling them to an Illinois resident in Illinois. It’s actually a nice range to shoot at and very chill.
