I see that SA sells a magazine for the 308 M1A but it's labeled as 6.5 Creedmoor as well. Am I understanding that correctly? The magazines are the same for both rifles?
The Magpul .308 drum is not compatible with the M1A, but Promag makes one that is.Unless you use magpul drum mags then those are a no go. 260rem works also, but m1a's don't have any 260rem. barrels.
I thought the 2 were different, but was unsure. Even with magpul making a compatible drum mag for the m1a the follower is probably the same. If the follower is the same then it will not feed reliably. The promag version might have the same issue? I have used the magpul drum mag for the 260rem without any issues. My guess is the case length is why it works and the shorter creed case doesn't.The Magpul .308 drum is not compatible with the M1A, but Promag makes one that is.
