Great article Mike, during the time I was married and lived in Connecticut we had chickens and the eggs were incredible.
We never thought about using the chickens as a meat source, my love of all birds made that impossible.

I grew up in the country and we had and did all of the above. We had chickens , goats , hogs , rabbits ( tame ) , and dad bought a calf every year to feed out . We also had a biiigggg garden. Lot of hard work but it was worth it.
