Very Nice Killer! Bought my Model 19 4 inch about the same time 1973. It immigrated to Alaska and is carried by my daughter-in-law as her woods gun.
Still have my Dan Wesson 15 with 2", 4", 6" and 8" barrels. Should get that out of the safe and give it some exercise. 357 Mag is hard to beat.

What’s nice about these revolvers is the fact one was my dads and the other my Father in Law’s gun. Both were given to me to carry on the legacy.

The S&W Model 19 is my favorite.
The colt is a Mark 3 Trooper Match. The thicker wood grip and more pronounced curve of the grip behind the trigger suit my hand less than the S&W.
Both are a pure joy to fire though

This one was obviously a duty gun; well worn on the muzzle and high spots, but hardly a turn line. Mechanically, it’s like the day it left the factory...spectacularly accurate. The right stock is worn and beaten, just like a holstered Duty gun would be...
I love that it’s a direct descendant of the Registered Magnum that started it all.

1970's wheelguns are some of my favorites. An older (pre-transfer bar & Hillary Hole) S&W Model 19 is one of my bucket list guns. I've shot several 1960's-1970's revolvers that belong to older family members, and have always been impressed by the workmanship. I may finally get around to hunting one down, now that all of the modern semi-autos are selling out as soon as they hit store shelves.
If guns ain't exempt from capital gains tax, they sure as heck oughta be.
