I've used a standard Siege for a number of years as a camp & back-up light. It's always worked very well, including a recent camping & road trip.

They also have the SIEGE® X USB RECHARGEABLE which is smaller than the AA version.

With my AA Siege I can recharge Lithium ion AA's with a small Goal Zero solar panel and recharger unit which is small & lightweight enough to pack easily.
