So as a die hard 1911 fan all this talk about giving up on the 45 acp I will not say makes me upset I do know todays 40,9 mill etc ammo has come a long way if not match the 45 acp…there’s all this talk still about rounds and benifit.. I’m a long conceal carry of the fatboy or my daily carry the awesome warthog by para I know well limited axes to parts mags etc but that said now that rock island make’s basically a new version of the fatboy from what I see we’re still talking 10 and one in pipe 45acp subcompact anyone give me feed back I love these double stacks

i have a Glock G-30, (10 round mags) and it is a wee bit "fatter" than my 9mm Hellcat. (10 round mags)

i rarely carry that Glock, unless i take the Hellcat for a workout at the range.

for me and my body's frame, it is a bit uncomfortable to carry a double stacked 45 ACP gun.

Your mileage may vary.

I totally get it! I’m 52 blessed with big hands still can lock elbows grip gun there not for everyone

Side note shot a Glock all plastic ten at range few months ago was surprised at the recoil on such a light weapon was impressed but not fan of striker fired pistols

all others i have are range toys.
