5 Things you Should Know About Suppressors

I could go through more of the hearing jokes, “what” but I won’t. I talked about what happened to me after a trip to the
Indoor range and forgot my muffs. Used just foam plugs. Fast forward yesterday I went to an audiologist and discovered I have a 35% loss of hearing in my right ear over and above my left ear which is minimal, normal age related. I now where hearing aids. I have no interest in a suppresser.
Use proper hearing protection all the time. I wish I had on that day.

I lost almost 50% of my hearing in my left ear, we were hunting rabbits back in the late 1980’s, my brother in-law brought up his 12 gauge and fired only about 2-3 feet from my ear, I have constant ringing and can’t hear certain tones. I know what you mean, I don’t have a hearing aid, I just got used to it.

That sucks my friend.
No constant ringing for me but had headaches. According to the doctor the hearing aids also help the ear not affected from working hard to compensate. Two days already see an improvement. No more headaches. 🙏Without the hearing aid my right ear had sort of a dead zone feeling. With the hearing aid that’s gone, they are programmable for different events like bars, restaurants and sporting events.
Re-chargeable. Expensive 😡 but worth it.

Suppressors are great at reducing noise. The Government knows “we” want them and so “they” tax them with their stamp. It’s not the whole “claim on safety” and never has been and never will” it’s about the money.

Hope it works out for you, never thought that could be causing some of my headaches, might just have to look into one I guess one day, take care sir.
