While I absolutely hate to leave my weapon in my truck, there are times when it has to happen. Some places, schools ECT., it just can't go with me when I enter. In Louisiana, I was taught that a business does not have the right to tell me I can't carry. That said, if I am going to somewhere where it truly can't go, I have a safe in the truck. Small lockbox type hides under the seat bolted to the floor. I am not a fan but it sure is better then in the console or glove box.

We are lucky to have a pro 2A state government here in NH where we can carry in any buildings except courthouses and federal buildings.

We are allowed to carry in schools, police stations, and any other public buildings.

The state legislature just passed another Pro 2A bill recently that outlaws any town or city from creating any anti-gun laws. Any new laws or regulations can only be passed by the state government so towns and cities can't even set there own speed limits as this would be considered unlawful.
 
I bought the "Console Vault" highlighted in the article for my Toyota Tacoma, and I have a lock box w/cable I locked around the passenger seat but accessed from the rear seat area. It's not a Hornady, but similar with a 3 digit numeric mechanical wheel locking mechanism.
The console vault in my truck has more than enough room for my Hellcat, 2 additional Magazines and several other items.
