Guess I’m one of those shooters that “defy physics” and can make hits at 50 or even 100 yards with a good 1911...
That being said, I’d sooner use my Winchester M1917 at those ranges!

The "form" taught back then was not conducive of good marksmanship. Bent elbow and wrist. Also likely why the 1911's reputation as shooter unfriendly. I taught myself to shoot on a .45 acp (Range rental Llama). I found it both mild to shoot and accurate!!!
