79 years ago many young American Soldiers and Sailors embarked on an incredible journey to fight on foreign soil, sadly a lot of those young boys did not come back. My Uncle Paul was 17 years old and parachuted into occupied France with the 101st Airborne Division. He like most of "the greatest generation" never talked much about it. Before he passed his favorite remark was 'I can't get a 18 year old to cut my grass, I was 17 and didn't even kiss a girl yet and I was fighting the nazis". God rest your soul Uncle Paul.
