The picture showing an armbar takedown is a good example of what not to do. Without elbow control, the adversary can easily bend his left arm. Once it's bent, he can use his right hand to capture her right hand and sweep it. His left hand can then place her in elbow control for an easy disarm and pin. Good quality training is important and that picture illustrates what bad training looks like.

Well, to be fair it also has a picture of someone having a knife fight with one. And you can train until the cows come home with a knife and the odds of it mattering one little bit when someone comes up and tries to stab you are infinitesimal.
