911

Any chance Springfield might reintroduce the 911? My primary carry gun is an XD Mod2 SC. I love the XD but I nearly always print when carrying. Right now I'm looking at a Kimber Micro in .380. My beloved carries one and I love hers (the trigger is nearly as sweet and smooth as my Ultra). But one of my coworkers carries a SA 911 and it's a beautiful little firearm. Great feel and nice trigger. I'd love to have it available as an option. I've also looked at the Sig 238 but I much prefer either the Kimber or SA.

The 911 series guns had way to many issues, I had one that actually worked, I to had a Kimber but it was nothing but trouble while the Sig I never owned one myself is probably the better of these types of small guns. I highly doubt Springfield will reintroduce 911 again, if you really want one I would try to find a used one.

Just the other day I saw an article on what a 911 is worth. They report statistics on various guns and I noticed this one and looked. I think they reported prices from $300-500, with the higher end coming from stores. I was mulling various gun values as possible sale or trade potential. The Sig may be a better gun, I really don't know, but it's also more expensive. I liked the Colt Mustang models and their derivatives and precursors years ago. They also had some that worked and some that didn't.
I don't know if SA would resurrect the 911, they could if they wanted to. They've put more effort elsewhere, so unless they could foretell a large interest, I doubt they would.
