A Cold, Snowy Saturday Project

So I’m working on my M1A, the first change was the forearm end sling loop change, I’ve been thinking about adding a bipod but didn’t want to attach it to the gas piston tube and following a thread on the forum about a Picatinny rail sling combo I purchased one from Brownells,

At first I thought I would have to modify the stock but after removing what was there it worked out very well.

The next add on was a butt stock comb riser kit

Putting this on was a PITA but I was determined, I then had to choose a pad to go under the cover.

I know I will be making adjustments during my next range trip and may also go with a thinner pad, it comes with 6 pads of different thicknesses.

So now that this is done I would like to ask for some recommendations on Bipods, I see that Springfield is offering two different models and I’ve been doing some research and there are a ton of different types. My price range is between $150-200 dollars.
Thank you in advance.

Of course during this work I was monitored by the boss.

So, did the boss approve what you did?

Nice work.

I think the QC manager has that "I'm hungry, when do I eat Bud" look.

Does the boss sleep in the crate ?
She was born Feral and I took her in at 6 weeks.

She slept in the crate at night next to my bed until I knew she could roam the apartment at night without getting into trouble or hurt. The crate is now her safe place that she uses to sleep in when she wants to.

Although she still has a little bit of the feral attitude in her she also needs to be wherever I am when I’m home.

Unfortunately she also has food allergies and although I feed her a high quality food she suffers from soars on her face that requires steroid shots to get under control.
There are times when her face is a mess from the allergy.

We found out that our dog has food and environmental allergies after submitting a blood sample to the lab. They recommended several types of prescription drug food and allergy drops, which improved his quality of life dramatically.

I’m working with the vet on this and tried a grain free food that was damn expensive and she refused to eat it, luckily it’s guarantied and returnable if not eaten. She gets these soars on her face and head about every 3 months. 😢

Nice looking rifle.
I have had success with the Magpul bi-pods.
I like how they are shorter when collapsed. Swivel a few degrees left/right and up/down.
Can be adjusted to several lengths when in use due to their notched system, so you can keep it shorter or adjusted the legs pretty long.
Can usually find them on sale lots of online retailers.

Poor sweet baby our last one was a feral so I know exactly what you mean by a little feral attitude

A blood test is the only way to be sure. Everything else is just trial and error.

We found out our dog is allergic to grasses, trees, chicken, and turkey among other things.

Thanks for the Magpul link I now have a couple options.

Alot of commercial pet food is real crap, and cause alot of health issues.

But some health issues can be genetics.

Most dog breeds are totally screwed up genetically due to human manipulation for certain fad traits, and/or due to "puppy" mills cranking litters out as fast as possible when a certain breed is fashionable.

Our cat also has some feral in her, on the food, she can only eat in wet food is chicken, turkey and seafood, any beef, liver and gravy she will eat and a moment later she throws it up, allergic to it, so she is limited and now the chicken and turkey are real hard to find

My TIGGER loves Salmon but it’s the grains “fillers” that she is allergic to. She’s also very picky although weighing in at 10 pounds she eats well except when she’s not feeling well with those soars.
Can you imagine dealing with a soar on your face like this?
