A little disappointed

I received the SA sling for my M1a. Appears thin and a quality level seemingly not in line with the rifle or maybe even able to handle the rigors of field use. Basically is doesn't match the weapon.

Anyone else see this and/or do you have a different sling of a more meaty amount of leather you recommend?

I probably stay with this on one M1a but probably go with another for the scout.

Check out www.m14forum.com Probably find some good advice there. They helped me a lot when I got M1A about 8 years ago.

I’d get a Blue Force Gear sling, etc, if you want something heavy-duty.

The sling that comes with is a carrying strap, nothing more.

This is a local Marine that makes beyond top notch slings. Not just a sling but a true work of leather art. They even had their slings in the movie American Sniper.

I’ve been through a lot of slings. Not with the M1, but with other rifles and especially heavy shotguns. Last year I bought a Blue Force Gear Vickers sling and they’re awesome. I wasn’t too hip on dropping $70 on a sling but my god they’re worth it.
