A Long Week

Last week i came down with a massive demon cold. I haven't had a cold since 2018 and this one hit me like a ton of bricks. After a week i'm still not right. Hopefully by the middle of the week i can beat this thing. Worst off i gave it to my wife, lets just say she is not happy. Actually she had to take a couple days off from work. The only one that seems to having a good time is the husky. Everybody home to give her all the attention, just loving it. Honestly i think i caught if from the LGS when i went there on saturday. I didn't mention that everybody there seemed to be a little sick, i should have known better.

I'm always a little hesitant these days to get too close to someone with a "cold" with so much opportunity to mistake the symptoms of a cold with the damned virus (Covid). I just don't believe we're finished with that crap yet. Nmedge, I hope for your sake you're right and a cold is all it is, but please be careful and take all precautions for you and your family. We're pullin' for a quick recovery. (y):) jj

There is something to be said about overcharging your immune system.
If you've never heard about it, Airborne is your friend, developed by a school teacher that got tired of being hit by the school kid crud every new school year.
It's either chewable, or effervescent, but it works. It'll overload your immune system to the point of being able to stave off a hard hit of anything you might catch.
It's all I've taken since 2012, no vaccine for anything, just Airborne.
Compared to doctor visit, 7 dollars or so is a bargain.

I'm not prone to taking "Airborne" on a regular basis, but I definitely load up on it a week or two before I get on a commercial airplane. Been doing that for quite a few years and haven't had one crash yet ... (oh wait, that's another story), but the "Airborne" has definitely kept the bugs away. Now though, with just a little reflection on my own concerns re the Covid, I think I just might start.

BTW, I prefer the effervescent version. I just drop it in a little water and set it right alongside my 'Jack, Maker's Mark, or Buffalo Trace on the Rocks' for a few nights before scheduled to fly out. Kinda' like killin' 2 birds with one stone. jj

I've only taken a flue shot 1 time in my life (about 10 years ago). Might have had a cold 2 or 3 times in my life. This comes from a person that wears short and a tank top near freezing Temps.

Best of luck getting over it asap!

Every new school year? Heck, how about every week. Closed and locked classroom for security purposes and we're all breathing the same air. I'll have to try Airborne.

My doctor suggested taking Sambucus Elderberry Supplement everyday, there has not been a cold in my house for years.
