No one talked much about it, but I listened enough to figure out that a great aunt shot and killed my uncle on my mom's side. He beat her qith a bat and then went to bed , told her when he got up he was going to kill her.

She believed him and evidently so did everyone else, she was never tried for it. This happened long before I was born.

I have no sympathy for a man who beats on a woman. She shoulda shot him in the head.
