Looking into installing one of these for my AR in preparation for shooting suppressed. Looking for recs on a good one, as well as any advice on installing? I don't know how comfortable I feel. Was leaning towards having a gunsmith do this one.

What brand/model of rifle and barrel length?

I ask as I currently have a Saint Victor 5.56 and run it zero issues suppressed stock from the factory with no modifications. Plug n play.

I think Faxon and Rubber City Armory makes them also? I have 2 adjustable BCGs and there are adjustable gas keys also. The adjustable BCG is more for "fine" tuning. Gas blocks would be the better choice for larger adjustments and easier! Sometimes you need a heavier buffer, but the adjustable gb would be better for changing between suppressed and non.

On another note, changing the BCG you might not get the correct headspace? By changing only the bolt carrier you should be ok. You will not need a gunsmith for a gb change.
