Adjustable Gas Block, Saint Vic?

The Edge comes with an adjustable block and my Saint Vic has just a low profile gas block, can i put an adjustable on her and if so would be called a low profile adjustable gas block? And I am having trouble finding out the hole size, apparently there are 2 or 3 common sizes if i understand correctly, how would i get that info short of actually calling Springfield, or does anyone know already. Whats does being pinned versus another installation method "i cant remember exactly whats its nomenclature is". I feel like im making this more complicated than it should be, so none of that really matters, just get one and shutup?

Are you planning on running a suppressor or having problems with it cycling properly? If not, you don't need an adjustable.

If you do need one, you'll need low profile adjustable gas block. @xdman can help with the barrel diameter and port size but if he doesn't see this or someone else who knows more than me doesn't respond, yeah just call Springfield on Tuesday and they'll be able to tell you.

As for pinned vs set screw or clamp, pinned blocks are something that is necessary for military applications or back country hunting. Unless you're planning on abusing the Saint, it's really not needed. If the Victor is already pinned you're going to need a smith to remove/install regardless.

You're not making it harder than necessary, it's just something new that you're learning. That's why we're here. Welcome to the Forum!

Thank and yes i planned to have this particular rifle modded in 3 different calibers as i need it, assuming my stamp comes in approved for one calibers, and yes you are correct about the suppressor on the version i will need adjustable, or it seems smart to have one, not necessarily need. And i guess im just figuring out about the lower on the Vic being very flexible ( if you know what your doing properly and professionally), saving money on 2 other rifles i wanted in my collection, again thank you, its amazing how you can know your weapon in and out, and in pieces, and it seems theres that there is always one thing i didnt know about or very diificult to get specs, lol. Off subject, got a xdm elite osp 9mm threaded, had it completely apart and could not for weeks get the grip safety and springs in, and when i tried to get help almost every video stopped at that point and said there not going to take that apart, or skipped it where in was put in off camera, just thinking about when i mentioned always that one thing i didnt know lol, anyways thanks again.

My Saint Vic came with an adjustable gas block and the gas block “key” tool to adjust.

Agreed. My Saint Victor 300 Blackout pistol has an adjustable gas block with the long Allen key tool to adjust, and different color set screws to use for the different settings. Actually it was you KF, that posted the image of the manual page here on this forum, for me to see how to set it after one of my questions on this topic.

Funny you say that. I made the mistake of ignoring multiple pieces of advice to not remove the mag catch on my XDM compact. Took me days of working on it, getting pissed and storming off, and trying again before I made a slave pin and got it. Probably would’ve helped if I had a proper set of punches lol.
