Adjusting the SAINT Edge MultiMode adjustable gas block...

My SAINT Edge Pistol is equipped with the Springfield Armory’s MultiMode adjustable gas block. I currently have a SilencerCo Omega 300 suppressor for 5.56 NATO / .223 ammo. I'm curious to know if anyone on this formum with Viktor or SAINT rifles/pistols have a recommended mode setting for the gas block (1 or 3 as they say 2 is not recommended for suppressors).

I have attached a photo of the adjustable gas block set screw (above barrel and front of the gas return tube housing). Don't know what type of set screw it is. Hopefully one I can adjust to get less blowback when using a supressor.

Also, what else do you recommend to divert gas return tube blowback into the BCG area, down through the trigger opening, out the ejection port, and out back underneath the charging handle into the shooter's face.

I don't want to void my warranty by buying a suppressor specific adjustable BCG or gas deflector charging handle.

What has worked for you?

Thanks in advance!

Lew

You should be able to “tune” the gas block with the set screw key provided with the firearm.
Instructions on doing so are in your manual. If you bought it used, the manual is on the SA website.
Though it sounds like you read this based on your input already.

Almost all involve closing the port and opening 1/4 or 1/2 turn and firing 1 round. Repeat until the firearm cycles properly.

Hi Lwagner3. I have a SA Saint Victor in .300 BLK with a Banish 30 suppressor and have successfully (to-date) set the adjustable gas block for continuous suppressed fire of subsonic rounds. Set-up can be a little confusing (was to me!) at the beginning.
Using Screw #3, following the directions in the manual, I inserted the screw all the way and commenced the one round at-a-time process of unscrewing the set screw.
For my weapon, using 200 grain subsonic ammo, I need to unscrew the set screw by 3 full turns. It functions perfectly with this combo.
I have not yet put 'loctite' on the set screw.
I have fired several hundred rounds with no feed, cycling or ejection problems.
One tip for the adjustment process: consider removing the handguard to allow for easier access to the set screw. Be sensitive too the heat build up of the barrel and suppressor when firing w/o the handguard.
I do not have a response for your question about altering the gas return tube. I don't have a gas problem with rapid, continuous semi-auto fire.
Hope this helps.
