maybe this time, he will actually be found guilty? 18 months in jail is not enough, but it's a start.

i have always said, he was ultimately responsible as if i recall, he did not show up for the gun safety meetings.

even IF an actor is indeed proficient with firearms, why skip any sort of gun safety class?

it benefits ALL the people in front of, and behind the cameras.

And let's not forget, SOB was the Executive Producer of the film, which puts him IN CHARGE OF AND RESPONSIBLE FOR the whole hot mess. I'll bet he wasn't the least bit shy about taking the Executive Producer pay, was he?

he should be punished, and also the armorer, the safety people and director/producer yes i know its baldwin
and someone explain HOW LIVE ammunition was on the set, not some random rounds brought in.

they were shooting after hours with the same guns used for shooting scenes....WHY WHY WHY
and as far a NM not putting people in jail....i spent 4 days for a crime i did not commit , then they tried to ship me to Sacramento because looked like a guy they wanted for murder...which was NOT ME

I'm still unclear on the role of the armorer (Thell Reed's granddaughter, right?). In one version of the story, I heard she was told not to come in at all that day. If that's true, I'm having a hard time seeing how she shares any blame in the whole hot mess. But as I said, I don't KNOW anything; I wasn't there. Anyone know more on this?

The story I heard was that she wasn't at her post when the asst. producer took the gun from the rack.
However, there shouldn't have been a loaded gun in the rack to begin with.
I'm curious as to who organized and was involved in those live round plinking sessions after hours? My understanding is that the basic rule in Hollywood is no live ammo anywhere in the area.

She was the Armorer. She bears full responsibility for every firearm on that set. I don't like it either, but that's the way it is. I've also heard that they were using her as a general gopher and pulling her away from her armorer duties. The guns were often unattended. This was her first time as head armorer on a movie. I'm thinking that she was a bit shy and scared to enforce the rules over her bosses.

They are both at fault.
