Ready for another day of sitting in the car waiting while wife goes thru a medical test. This one a bone scan for a knee revision, meaning possible replacement of a knee replacement.

My Wife had 2 shoulder surgeries (each side) about 2 1/2 years apart I feel for you .mine is a horrible patient.

She had some lower back issues a couple weeks ago then her shoulder thought it was another injury ended up being shingles

She was on some meds and said it made her feel goofy….I said I can’t really tell a difference….

After a king stare she’s still goofy but I think the meds make her angry too!!!

a very good friend of my sister, had to have her "new knee" removed, and a temp one installed. she got all sorts of infections after that first operation. she is relegated to a walker and a bracing system since that removal.

if i recall, she goes in for another replacement, at a different hospital with a different doctor, in a week or 2..

hope all goes well with your Mrs.

It's just me and I'm not trying to judge anybody but I never understood the concept of sitting in the car in the parking lot waiting for your wife to do whatever your wife is doing.

Generally, when my wife and I are out together it's for a medical appointment. We don't actually go shopping anymore because so many places deliver.

Most of the places that we go to the waiting room has a TV, it has coffee or tea it's appropriately cool or heated without me having to run my engine and I can sit in the back corner and read my book.

Back in the day when I was a security guard and most of the time I had to do my paperwork while I was sitting in that company car and I got ambushed (for lack of a better term) once or twice in the car.

Almost all of the Super Genius self defense gurus say that you should never just hang out in your car. They also say that parking lots are transitional spaces where most of the crazy things that happen in this world happen.

So I go in with my wife

Well, since I have never been overly sensitive to what all the self proclaimed experts, especially the youtube variety say, not too concerned there. Perhaps if I lived closer to Detroit or Flint I might rethink it.

Never had an issue in a parking lot, especially since by sitting in the car til called I can park way away from anyone else to protect my car and see real well around me. Or better yet can sit across the street by the river board walk like I am doing and enjoy the river.

Not a big fan of sitting in crowded waiting rooms personally, not a real stranger friendly guy. And I am personally one who believes in Covid and other fun transmittable things and the general transmitting of said things through the air. Depending upon other persons manners of covering mouths to cough and sneeze and wash hands is further than I prefer to stretch my trust longer rhan I have to.

Then, the test my wife is having is basically hurry up and wait. 5 minutes or so in the waiting room and laying on a table where I CANNOT BE for an hour means I am basically sitting by myself , or with 39 of my best new found friends anyways.

So, guess I will do it this way.

Nice view!

my 80 year old mom got a new knee 2 years ago
she was up and "running" in a week and healed up very nice, even though she despised phys therapy

and as far as sitting somewhere other than the hospital or waiting room,
YES SIR
i go find an area devoid of lots of folks and sit and read,

some places actually have areas that people tend to forget are there and the cushions are clean and no gum and its quiet
