Not entirely sure about what or what not to post these days. The link below concerns 4 American Flags that were burned by unknown vandals.

Note: There are random political ads that pop-up at the site. Sometimes there are other ad categories.

Disclaimer: I do not control the random/rotating ads that are placed there. If the article or ads violate the rules......feel free to delete it.

You don’t control ads inside of a link, we’re not going to hold that against you.
It’s a good article. The whole thing is just sad in so many ways. We’re going to hold a flag burning coming up on flag day, but it’s a proper American Legion retirement ceremony. We’ve got over 100 this year including several car dealership mega flags.

That's just plain sad. This action has occurred before and I read one time, it did burn down a house (I don't know if anyone was ever injured or died, but it's an action that will eventually come to that). On my street, I fly the American & POW/MIA on one flagpole and the Pa. State flag on another. I also have 2 American flags flanking both sides of my entry porch. If someone tries to burn them, I have cameras facing them to potential capture their images. The police would probably shrug it off as a lesser crime if no house damage was done. :(

"Police have asked the public for help identifying the culprits"

Hm.

If anyone tries to light any part of my house on fire - including, but not limited to, Old Glory flying on my front porch, it'll be easy to identify them. "Yes, officer, that's him laying over there in the grass..."

My front porch is about 800' from the road, with clear sightlines. If you're on my porch, it's not by accident, and if you're lighting my stuff on fire, I certainly didn't invite you to do so.

That reminds me though, I do have a few I need to properly retire...360 days a year I have moderate-high winds and the poor things just get shredded.

After my career in the Navy, (followed by 4 soul-killing yrs in retail), I was a high school jrotc instructor for 16 yrs. We took our students (cadets) to a few proper Flag disposal ceremonies conducted by the local American Legion. Always a solemn and respectful event.

😭 Evildoers burn flags with malice in their hearts. We are at War Children of Light against Children of Darkness and this WAR has been waged since the Garden. In the end the Children of Darkness will have their just reward in the Lake of fire.
