Ammo Sale

You can find cheaper sources for any caliber once in a while, but SG is always competitive...and always free shipping (as mentioned, $200 min). They are always my 2nd-look when buying ammo (Ammoseek.com being #1). They tend to have a lot of uncommon milsurp calibers as well...

I may have to give them a try. My wife and I went to the range last weekend, her fifth time shooting in her life. She did really good. Unfortunately, the ammo I got from Freedom Munitions had some duds in it. 135 grain flat nose fmj 9mm in 50 round boxes. @ 20 rounds out of 100. Never had a problem with Freedom until now. Maybe it is just this batch. Anyway, she at least learned to rack and clear a round before resuming. It was good practice for her, I just know that sometimes it can spoil your groove. But again, she did very good for it being her 2nd time out with me, 5th time overall. I let her shoot my Shield m2.0 9, Mossberg MC2C and Shield Performance Center .45. She liked the 9s better.

The plain wrapping DOES have the Warning sticker on it, ORM-D? Explosives? It's the square with a diagonal white bar across the face. Or a diamond since it's normally cock-eyed 45-degrees. That sticker tells anyone in the know the box contains ammunition.

2 other go-to sources for me are TruShot and Velocity. They both charge for shipping, so you have to dummy-up and order to see the shipping charge before placing the actual order...

Indeed, it does. I don't believe there's any alternative, as delivery personnel need the ability to identify any dangerous ordnance.
not so much that it is ordinance, but a regulated material.

when i was at my last job, before i retired, i would have a small box or 2, that i had to take to one of my stops.

it was marked the old way (cannot recall the exact label) as ORM. *other regulated material*, and as such, did not have to be on the Bill of lading in the hazmat column. so riding in the cab was legit.

this is the "new" DOT designation

What does ORM-D stand for?

Other Regulated Materials—Domestic

What is ORM-D? The ORM-D classification stands for Other Regulated Materials—Domestic and is used for materials that meet the DOT definition of a consumer commodity.Dec 18, 2020

now IF a shipper wants to get specific, they can use this as well

notice how "cartridges" are so much smaller.....

it's the overall label of ORM, that is important

i usually got any bulk ammo with the ORM label only

poor UPS guy, had to deliver 2 boxes of 45 ACP one time....(2,000 rounds)

nearly broke his back too....

but hey, they get paid like a bajillion dollars per hour, and might go on strike soon..>!!

my BIL works for them in the terminal as a loader/unloader.....they had to vote a couple weeks ago for a strike....
