@thedavidcrosby I loved your show in Arlington, MA last night until you brought up your political views. Don't you realize that you will **** off 1/2 of your audience or at least 1/3 in liberal areas when you do that?

As a lifelong musician I can only say this. I like some CSN songs. They, including Crosby, have secured their place in music history. They, along with Neil Young, need to learn how to "Shut up and play your guitar". Condolences to fans, friends and family, but Crosby was a drug addict and an A-hole who blew his millions on dope then whined about it when defaulting on his debt landed him in bankruptcy and forced him to sell the rights to his catalog.


Very brief and very partial list of bands/Artists I love, but would probably get into fist fights with if I ever had to have a conversation with.

You gotta separate the art from the artist. Unfortunately David Crosby's music doesn't rise to the level for me personally where that is all that much of a problem. Neil Young either, though I gotta say Down By The River and After The Gold Rush are both fantastic songs. I put The Rolling Stones in the same category. Sympathy For The Devil and Monkey Man give me goose bumps, but other than Bill Wyman and Charlie Watts I wouldn't cross the street to meet them. Well, maybe Keef. Great guitarist with stellar tone. Still a drug addict and an A-hole.

Must agree @Bassbob too many artist and actors believe since we "admire" their music or acting we must surely love their views. Two different things in many instances. Some put me off so much I refuse to spend my hard earned money on them.

The unfortunate thing is we will be experiencing many of these folks checking out rather quickly in the next few years.
