Army guide to winter weather weapons handling

It’s that time of year. Guides and tips from the US Army.

I remember my dad talking about new guys getting in-country to the Korean War, and they'd over-lube their weapons and they would freeze and become inoperable.

So the high temp here today is -3 F with the wind chill a bit crisper than that. I'm not sure if my bones will hold up but I'd sure like to see how this TRP will run. I'd bet my left nut it'd go without a hitch as long as I mind the points in that nice article KillerFord1977 posted. Good stuff!

It's 2 F here right now with a subzero wind chill. I'd very much like to take my AR out and get my HS-1 zero'ed properly. Not going to happen.
