Army Rifle and MG

I’d like a civilian model but not paying $8000 for one. Thats like the $400 screwdriver the DOD pays for.
The MCX-Spear is "only" $4,200, the original limited edition last year was $8,000... The real one shoots very nicely, curious to try the civilian version...

$4200 is still too much. They will be making thousands for the military. Their R&D costs will be covered. Shouldn’t be more that a typical DD rifle, but Sig & Military = monster “cool factor the Army uses it” mark up.
No thanks

Oh I agree 100% with you, especially because you can't stop at just the rifle, the Tango6T "needs" to go on it, so it will reach $6,000 in no time... The 716i is less than $1,500 (even the Tread Snakebite), and it's a great rifle already.

Those purchase contracts normally include spare parts, accessories, etc but I have no idea how much of that is factored into the price of these weapons. Would like to see the request for proposals
